Why should we attend the Marriage Encounter?

Pastors Mark and Crystal Evans are from our Sister Church, Northwest Church in Orlando, and will be both teaching and ministering at the marriage conference. Here is just a small insight, in their own words, into the kinds of things we should expect to experience and receive on the day:

“We’re here in sunny Florida. Why are we leaving here? – We’re leaving here because we know what the Lord’s going to do there in Dundee.”

“We have a prophetic word, and we have a practical word… The bible tells us in Genesis that God gave the command, gave the mandate, for the male and the female to rule together, and subdue the earth together. So we’re going to talk about that. We’re going to explore those topics. How do we do that? What does that look like in a marriage? What does that look like in cell groups? What does that look like in your family? And we’re going to learn alot!”

“There’s a door that stands open to the church now. There is a word, a voice being spoken like a trumpet. And that’s what we are believing is going to happen to marriages in the church, in Dundee, and all of Scotland. Their is a door open to every marriage. There is a voice being spoken from heaven. The heavens are going to be opened in our marriages.”

“I want you to know, that the Lord has an answer for Dundee. We’re going to hear something, and we’re going to see something new for our marriages.”

“We’re going to be telling you how to fight fair…”

When is the marriage encounter?

The marriage encounter takes place between 10am and 4pm on the 26th March, 2011.   Registration and coffee from 9.30am.

It’s important to note, however, that we’ll be actively encouraged to make the evening of Saturday 26th March a “date night”. Please do plan for date night ahead of time, and arrange for your baby sitter to look after your kids that evening.

The marriage encounter will take place at Gate Church International, 158 Perth Road in Dundee.

How much does the marriage encounter cost?

The “Early Bird Ticket” is priced at £20 per couple, and is available prior to March 17th. Thereafter, the ticket price will rise to £30 per couple.

Will child care be provided at the marriage encounter?

Childcare will be provided throughout the day by members of our church children’s work teams, from 10am-4pm. Registration from 9.30am.  The children will be split into age appropriate groups.

Book your childcare prior to March 17th, at a cost of £2 per child. Thereafter, the cost of childcare will rise to £3 per child.

Snacks will be provided for your children, but please do provide a packed lunch.
